About this Piece...
I love to play the piano and this piece was inspired by the late, great, russian virtuoso pianist Sviatoslav Richter.
The image is drawn from the cover of the Bruno Monsaignon video biography of Richter and also features a poem inspired by the beauty and emotional intensity of Richter's playing. It reads:
Is that a note?
Or a wurly-gig wonder?
Do my thoughts of the future fall apart at the seems?
Can I watch with sadness
As the bitter black raven
Desecends on my heart
And rips out my dreams?
Richter was drawn on acid-free paper using lightfast ink (unframed)
